September Update

Hello Family and Friends,

Here's a recap of what has happened and is currently happening:

We've already finished taking our engagement photos and that was done sometime in the month of June.
We booked our photographer and videographer.
We booked our wedding planner.
We're taking a break from wedding planning because Joanna is finishing up her last semester of nursing school.

We had a lot done during the summer but, we still have a lot to do. We want everything to be perfect.

We know that many of you are eager to help us with the planning and we're very very grateful for your excitement and love for us. We will always remember all of the kind words and loving gestures. Everything that each one of you do for us, even if it's just a simple "let us know what we can do to help" means so much to us and it is deeply appreciated.

Wedding Decor and Date Change

Ok, so we've decided to change our wedding day to a Friday. SURPRISE! I hope it won't be too much of a burden for our guest. But I know will ample time of informing, they will definitely save-the-date. =) Oh and the new date is May 25, 2012.

Booked a lot of the vendors that will be handling the decoration aspect of our ceremony and reception. Still waiting for word on our linens. Can't book them without knowing the prices, right? LOL. Well I'm waiting patiently for them to get back to me. I'm really excited for all of this because our vision is slowly but surely coming to life. I wish I was getting married this year just so I can see how our wedding would be like. But I guess it's worth the wait.

Wedding Planner Wishes

I wish I had a wedding planner. Really though, 2012 is about to kick-off and I know that's when the real planning will happen. Right now, I'm just thinking about certain aspects of my wedding and I'm already overwhelmed. I spoke to some vendors and again, I'm already overwhelmed. Sometimes I don't even really know what I want or rather need to be asking them. This is why, I wish I have a wedding planner =/ I'm not sure if I can do all of this by myself. *Sigh* We'll see how things play out.

Venue

So we've been busy trying to decide which venue we wanted to go with. At first we wanted to stay away from the waikiki area but then decided that if the price was right that we would go ahead with a venue there. After getting to know several reception sites our top three picks were:

1. Hyatt Regency
2. Hale Koa Hotel
3. Hilton Prince Kuhio

The winner is....Hale Koa. The place is beautiful, the food is great, and the price is right =)

07.30.2010

Just attended the Expo this past Saturday and although it was on the smaller side, we still managed to find vendors that we are very interested in. We were disappointed about not finding certain vendors that we wanted to speak with and get to know.

We also attended TWC's wedding workshop: Beautiful Bride, and it was really fun! The fiance won me a free hair and makeup trial session by Flaunt worth around $120.00 so I'm excited! =)

Still can't start planning yet because many vendors are not accepting clients more than 12-18 months before the wedding. So we're just looking around for now, gathering lots of ideas, I guess it kind of works in our favor. We're really excited and can't wait to get this going.
